Ennismore Capital-owned budget hotel brand, The Hoxton is set to launch two standalone restaurants, Egg Break, in partnership with Soho House.
The 80-seat restaurant, in Uxbridge Street, Notting Hill will be open from 7am to 5pm and will offer egg-based healthy dishes and five 'dirty' baps - including an egg, pork belly, sausage meat and sriracha mayo bap (pictured) and an egg, bacon and kale bap – along with avocado and eggs on toast and eggs with fried chicken.
The second new restaurant is to be called Chicken & Egg Shop and will open in Balham. Soho House hasn’t confirmed details, but it looks likely to be an enhanced version of the group’s Chicken Shop restaurants – perhaps featuring an egg-heavy brunch menu as at its recently-opened branch in Chicago.
Also, The Hoxton is to start work on its third hotel in London after planning permission was granted bu Southwark Council.
Located in Blackfriars Road, Southwark, the 192-bed hotel will occupy the lower six floors of a 14-storey mixed-use scheme which will include offices.
Soho House will operate a restaurant on the ground floor of the new hotel, as well as a bar on the top floor. The Hoxton Grill at the Hoxton Shoreditch and Chicken Shop and Hubbard & Bell at Hoxton Holborn are also run by Soho House.
Due to open in 2018, the Southwark hotel will join existing Hoxton hotels in Shoredtich and Holborn.
The group’s first overseas hotel, a 111-property in Amsterdam, will open on 6 July, with further international launches planned for Williamsburg (New York) and Paris.
