Cabana secures site at Manchester Corn Exchange

Brasilian barbecue restaurant and cocktail bar group, Cabana has chosen Manchester for a major £1.5m investment, announcing plans to open in Manchester Corn Exchange in October, creating more than 60 new jobs.

The new 6,000 sq ft restaurant will serve Cabana’s best-selling Spicy Malagueta Chicken and Sweet Potato Fries, along with Brasilian street food and barbecue skewers grilled fresh to order.

The outlet will also feature a cocktail bar and private dining room, offering customers authentic Brasilian cocktails, such as tropical fruit flavoured Caipirinhas, including the UK’s first Frozen Caipirinhas, alongside an array of both exotic Brasilian concoctions and classic cocktails.

Manchester will be the second venture outside of London for the firm which currently has seven multi-award winning restaurants across London and one in Leeds, with plans to expand further this year.

Launched in 2011 by renowned restaurateurs Jamie Barber (Hush, Villandry, Sake No Hana) and Brasilian-born David Ponté (Momo), Cabana is expected to reach more than £15m turnover this year and currently employs around 200 people in the UK.
