Restauranteur Andrei Lussmann is to open his sixth Lussmanns Sustainable Fish and Grill in the Jericho district of Oxford in early 2020.
The site will be the first restaurant outside of Hertfordshire and will encompass 80 covers situated on the ground level. Like all Lussmanns restaurants, the Oxford site will continue to focus on making ethical and sustainable dining accessible on the High Street but will have its own personality and identity fitting with the location.
Working to the original cornerstones, Lussmann believes that it is absolutely possible to be both ethical and profitable whilst continuing to adapt and evolve in an ever-changing hospitality industry.
A sustainable ethos lies at the heart of the Lussmanns framework and is of the upmost importance when making business decisions including environmental impact and community value.
The Lussmanns’ menus are a celebration of seasonality, a passion for provenance and sustainably-sourced ingredients. Lussmanns is currently the only restaurant (group) in the UK to be fully accredited with an MSC-certified wild fish list whilst meat is organically-reared and there is an ever-growing vegan presence on the menu.
Lussmann commented, 'I’m absolutely delighted to be able to announce that we will be opening in Jericho. I’ve always loved this district of Oxford and it seems like the perfect fit, it will be a pleasure to join my thriving peers on this bustling High Street. I’m looking forward to seeing what a new county brings.'
