Having launched a Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA), Pizza Hut Restaurants - the UK dine-in franchise business of the global Pizza Hut Brand, is having to permanently close 29 eateries, with 450 jobs to go.
The chain, which currently has 244 restaurants across the UK, has been liaising with landlords and other stakeholders and they have now reached an agreement to reduce rents across the estate.
Pizza Hut had hinted that quieter outlets would have to close and now 29 have been earmarked for closure from Brighton to Glasgow, and include two in London,
Pizza Hut stated, 'We, along with the majority of the hospitality sector, have faced significant disruption due to the pandemic but we are working hard to return to our pre-lockdown strength.'
