Low2NoBev 2022 to tackle sustainability & alcohol-free threshold

The only dedicated trade show for the low and no-alcohol drinks sector, Low2NoBev returns to Olympia London this month (26 -28) with visitors urged to register for their free badge now.

Innovative products and brands on the show floor will be complemented by a raft of insight and discussion on The Workshop Stage, sponsored by RPC. Offering three days of essential thought leadership – spearheaded by the likes of The Grocer, The Morning Advertiser and Lumina Intelligence – the stage will offer essential listening for visitors on the hunt for the latest tips, tricks and trends from this emerging market.

Two topics covered on the stage are sustainability and the debate that rumbles on, how low is no?

Understand how low and no-alcohol brands are putting sustainability at the forefront of their businesses in the following session:

The regulatory and policy challenges ahead for low and no. Laura Wiloughby MBE from Club Soda in conversation with Rob Fink, Co-chair of ANBA’ Europe’s regulatory affairs committee

Alcohol-Free is still suffering a hangover of delayed decisions about labelling descriptors. Alcohol-free drinks still attract import duty, but alcoholic ones do not. Low alcohol is still impacted by discussion about tax rather than health and the whole sector will be affected by political jitters about alibi marketing.

Could alcohol-free end up more heavily regulated than alcohol? Which government department cares, health, Defra or BEIS? And should alcohol-free brands wade into the discussion about obesity, mental health and addiction?

Laura and Rob invite you to join in this discussion about the challenges still facing the sector and how brands can work together to ensure there that the sector is not dragged down by unnecessary regulation.
