Burger & Lobster look to expand its presence further in the UK

Burger & Lobster is actively seeking new locations across the UK, both within and beyond London.

The group, which operates 18 restaurants worldwide and nine in London, stated that it is “setting its sights on UK expansion”.

This comes after a successful year for the company, which experienced a 59% increase in pre-tax earnings, reaching £3.5 million in 2023, along with a 9% rise in like-for-like growth. However, group turnover remained steady at £36.1 million, compared to £36.5 million in 2022.

Burger & Lobster reported an 8.5% reduction in energy consumption over the year, thanks to new initiatives and staff training. Additionally, the company has maintained a high employee retention rate of 69%.

Dino Sura, managing director of Burger & Lobster Restaurant Group, said: “After a great year and having focussed heavily on quality of service, menu development and brand positioning in that time, we feel confident that now is a great time to expand, with a new site hopefully opening before the end of the year and a further few roll outs next year in our pipeline. '

“We also continue to focus on our commitment to the customer and ensuring the quality of their experience is at the heart of everything we do.”

Burger & Lobster’s global portfolio features restaurants in various locations, including Singapore, New York, Kuwait City, Malaysia, Bangkok, Qatar, and the Philippines.
