The Glee to open its sixth UK site Leeds

The Glee is set to open its sixth UK venue on Albion Street, Leeds, this spring, featuring a lineup of comedy, live music, and entertainment.

Established 30 years ago, The Glee is the UK’s leading comedy venue operator. Opening its first purpose-built venue outside London in 1994, it has earned a reputation for top-quality live comedy, as well as live music, cabaret, and special events.

The Glee has hosted some of the biggest names in comedy and entertainment, including Peter Kay, Michael McIntyre, Jo Brand, Lee Evans, Sarah Millican, and Jack Whitehall. Its stage has also welcomed musical icons such as Adele and Mumford & Sons.

The new 400-capacity Leeds venue will deliver everything fans have come to expect from The Glee. Currently under transformation, the space will feature a beautifully designed, purpose-built interior. Guests can look forward to comfortable, reserved theatre-style seating with excellent stage views, along with top-quality lighting and acoustics to create an unforgettable entertainment experience.

In addition to delivering plenty of laughs, the venue will offer an extensive food and drink menu. Guests can enjoy bar classics like burgers, nachos, and sourdough pizzas, perfectly paired with cocktail pitchers, beer buckets, and a variety of wines.

The venue will also feature weekly food deals and a convenient pre-order service, allowing guests to relax and have their drinks and meals ready at their table upon arrival.

Guests can also take advantage of large group bookings, with custom-made packages and exclusive deals for students.

The Glee founder Mark Tughan said: “It’s no secret that Yorkshire folk like a good laugh and Leeds is a city we’ve long been looking at as a location to further expand The Glee brand, so we are really excited to make this announcement.

“We’ve got some incredible acts lined up and will also be providing a platform for local performers too with plenty of homegrown Yorkshire talent on the bill. Our fit out is progressing well and we can’t wait to open the doors to the new venue and welcome customers to The Glee experience.”
