Cornish distillers, Wrecking Coast, have relaunched their award-winning spirits with a fresh new look and a focus on sustainability.
Inspired by Cornwall’s rugged shores and legendary shipwrecks, Wrecking Coast distills its gins and rums with natural Cornish Spring water and botanicals harvested from the local coastline.
With a clear move away from the original brand the new bottle draws inspiration from the seas with a distressed bottle reflecting the brand positioning and name.
The packaging also aligns with Wrecking Coast’s commitment to preserving the environment. The bottle is crafted from Wild Flint Glass, made entirely from 100% post-consumer recycled content (PCR).
The innovative Corkcoal stopper, a blend of cork and activated charcoal, is the most sustainable stopper on the market. It has no cork taint ensuring there is no colour transfer to the clear spirit.
Joe Barber, Commercial Director of Stargazey Spirits Ltd, the parent company of Wrecking Coast, said: “Wrecking Coast really is a true taste of the Cornish coastline and with this relaunch, we’re not only staying true to the heritage and taste of the distillery and brand but also taking steps to ensure our packaging is environmentally responsible. To cut our carbon footprint we have reduced the weight of our glass by over 400 grams.

While Tintagel based Wrecking Coast has undergone a visual transformation, the flavors that fans know, and love remain unchanged.
Distilled & Bottled in Cornwall, Wrecking Coast’s renowned Clotted Cream Gin, crafted with fresh Cornish clotted cream, has been a fan favorite for years. The distillery’s lineup includes seven small-batch spirits: Clotted Cream Gin, London Dry Gin, Scurvy Navy Strength Gin, Summer Strawberry Gin, Honey Sloe Gin, Kea Plum Rum and White Spiced Rum with a selection of limited edition barrel-aged spirits to come.
Joe Barber added: “We are very excited to have launched our first White Spiced Rum. This is an incredibly innovative product that we know will appeal to rum drinkers. A spiced rum typically has a rich amber colour, but we have managed to achieve a totally clear product, that doesn’t compromise on taste. So much so that it won a Silver Medal for Spirit Excellence from the American Distilling Institute.”
