The Belfry Hotel & Resort in Sutton Coldfield is set to undergo a huge expansion, which will include a new water park.
Aimed at attracting families, the new plans will see the 319 signature bedrooms and 14 luxury suites grow by a further 112 bedrooms, with 40 of those rooms directly connected to a new spa.
The existing Bel Air nightclub will be converted into a new state-of-the-art spa, to be operated by Espa. There will be a new indoor, self-contained water park, specifically designed for hotels residents.
The new indoor waterpark will designed by ‘internationally renowned’ water park designer WTI, which has designed numerous water parks in the US, Europe and Australia.
The new conference facility will be able to hold 700 guests for banqueting and ballroom functions. There are currently 22 conference and meeting rooms, which can cater to up to 400 guests.
The popular golf resort, which has hosted the Ryder Cup four times, underwent a £27m revamp in 2014.
