Accent Catering Services has fought off competition from five other caterers to clinch a three-year catering contract worth £1.8m with the FitzWimarc School in Rayleigh, Essex.
The contract will run for the initial three year period at the mixed secondary school, with the possibility to extend for a further two years.
The Staines-based firm will serve up food to 1,590 students and over 200 teaching and support staff. The focus will be on creating new food concepts to cater for a wide range of tastes and dietary requirements.
Accent aims to introduce new healthy meals, using fresh, seasonal, locally sourced ingredients prepared on-site. The firm will cover morning break, lunch, hospitality and free issue requirements.
