Sticks’n’Sushi, the Danish-Japanese restaurant group with 30 locations across the UK, Denmark, and Germany, has appointed Simon Gaske as its Chief Marketing Officer.

With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Simon Gaske brings extensive commercial expertise to Sticks’n’Sushi. He will work closely with CEO Andreas Karlsson as the group continues its expansion.

Simon Gaske will oversee brand strategy, develop and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns, drive growth, and ensure a unified approach across departments, with a strong focus on enhancing guest engagement.

Simon Gaske joins Sticks’n’Sushi after two years as Chief Commercial Officer at ETM Group, where he oversaw sales, digital, marketing, and pricing. Previously, he served as CMO at Ambl, a tech startup specialising in last-minute restaurant reservations, and as Director of Sales at Stonegate Group.

Andreas Karlsson, CEO of Sticks’n’Sushi, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Simon to the Sticks’n’Sushi family with the traditional ‘Irasshaimase’! He is already immersing himself in the brand’s 30 year heritage and exploring our Danish roots in Copenhagen. As we continue to grow and expand our reach, his expertise will be essential in crafting our future direction and development as we explore new opportunities.”

The brand has a unique blend of Japanese craftsmanship and Danish creativity, and I look forward to building on this heritage to create fresh, engaging experiences for our guests. My focus will be on driving innovation, elevating our storytelling, and strengthening our position in the market.”
