Blackburn-based forecourt giant, Euro Garages has acquired a further four sites that were operated by High Noon Stores, which fell into administration last month.
The petrol forecourts are at Radyr near Cardiff, the Halt at Llandrindod Wells, Great Whitley near Worcester and St Kew in Cornwall. A refurbishment programme is underway and the sites are scheduled to reopen next month. All of the sites will be operated as company-owned stores.
Christie & Co facilitated the completion of the group's sale. It follows hot on the heels of an initial group of four leasehold forecourts that were sold to Euro Garages on behalf of High Noon Stores earlier this year.
Zuber Issa, chief executive of Euro Garages, said, 'These acquisitions follow a carefully planned growth strategy and supplement our existing international portfolio well.
'Since the beginning of February alone, we have completed the acquisitions of the UK-wide Little Chef site portfolio and the former High Noon petrol forecourts. Each of these deals were handled entirely in-house, demonstrating the quality of our team and our ability to bring deals to a close very quickly.'
Steve Rodell, managing director of retail at Christie & Co, added, 'Both processes illustrate that a carefully planned and executed sales process involving multiple buyers is likely to result in the best deal for vendors. Anyone considering an exit should take professional advice based on sound and current market activity.'
