Warwickshire's prestigious golfing hotel The Belfry is to become managed by the De Vere Group once again after the property’s acquisition by US private equity firm KSL Partners for an undisclosed sum.
De Vere first sold the 324-bedroom hotel in 2005 for £186m to The Quinn Group, and after the new deal was completed on Friday, they will now retake the management of the hotel as appointed by KSL Capital Partners. The hotel will now undergo a full refurbishment, including that of its seven bars and restaurants, spa and meeting space.
This is the first resort in Europe for KSL, who until now have only owned a number of golf resorts in the US.
