Hollywood Bowl Group, one of the UK’s leading leisure operators, has begun work on its newest bowling and entertainment centre at The Chimes Shopping Centre in Uxbridge, following a £4.2 million investment.
The 22-lane centre is set to open in June and will also generate 45 new jobs across various front-of-house and hospitality positions.
Stephen Burns, CEO of Hollywood Bowl Group, said: “The launch of our Uxbridge centre marks another significant milestone in our ambitious growth strategy. As we continue to expand our unique offering across the UK, we remain committed to providing state-of-the-art entertainment and high-quality experiences for our customers. This new centre at The Chimes Shopping Centre is a testament to our dedication to investing in local communities and enhancing the leisure landscape nationwide.
This centre is set to become a key leisure destination, providing a fantastic venue for families, friends, and corporate groups to enjoy quality time together. We’re delighted to bring the UK’s best known ten pin bowling brand to the town and look forward to welcoming the local community and creating memorable experiences for all.”
Darren Harman, Centre Director at The Chimes said: “We are thrilled to welcome Hollywood Bowl to The Chimes.'
“This exciting addition marks the next step in our transformational period, and we’re delighted to be expanding our leisure offering for our customers.
“Hollywood Bowl’s state-of-the-art entertainment centre will significantly enhance our existing mix, further cementing The Chimes as the destination of choice for every occasion. This new opening underscores our ongoing dedication to evolving and improving our offering, ensuring The Chimes remains at the heart of Uxbridge’s social and leisure scene.”
The centre will serve classic American food and drink, including burgers, hot dogs, and a variety of beverages from its American-style bar and diner. In addition to 22 ten-pin bowling lanes, it will feature four lanes of duckpin bowling, a new game with smaller, lighter balls and shorter lanes, ensuring no pin is left standing.
To keep the competitive spirit alive, Hollywood Bowl’s renowned arcade area will feature top games like Mario Kart, along with classic family favourites such as air hockey and racing games.
Hollywood Bowl Uxbridge is set to open in June 2025, with guests able to pre-book starting in April.
