Sandwich Sandwich announces details for second London location

Bristol-based sandwich specialist Sandwich Sandwich has revealed more details about its second London location, set to open next week.

The 3,500 sq ft location was first announced in November last year.

The Mark Lane location, also situated in the City of London, comes six months after the brand’s London debut in a site previously occupied by salad chain Tossed.

The family-run business Sandwich Sandwich was founded in 2010 by self-taught chef Nick Kleiner on Cotham Road South in Bristol.

In 2012, he rebranded Cotham Sandwich Co as Sandwich Sandwich, opening its flagship store on Baldwin Street, Bristol, the following year. In 2023, it was named Uber Eats’ Restaurant of the Year.

Kleiner has announced plans to open four more London locations this year, as part of a broader goal to establish 25 sites across the capital within the next five years.

Josh Kleiner, head of operations and marketing, said: “It’s been a lot of hard work, but I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished. Everything we’ve learned from our six months in London has gone into Mark Lane, and we can’t wait to share this new space with everyone!”

The new store will feature Sandwich Sandwich’s Grab & Go range, along with its recently launched office catering service, Click & Collect, and exclusive Uber Eats delivery.

Sandwich Sandwich Mark Lane is set to open on March 17.
