Searcys to provide catering services at Gray’s Inn in London

Searcys has entered into a catering services partnership with Gray’s Inn, located in the City of London.

Gray’s Inn, established in the 14th century, has served as a home for lawyers since 1388. As one of the four prestigious Inns of Court responsible for training barristers both before and after their Call to the Bar, the venue accommodates a diverse audience, ranging from students to Benchers, the senior members of the Inn.

In the 16th century, Gray’s Inn enjoyed the patronage of Queen Elizabeth I.

The London-based event caterer will provide traditional buffet-style Hall Lunches, along with a variety of dishes and beverages at the Bridge Bar.

Searcys will also oversee the Inn’s diverse corporate and private event spaces, including the outdoor marquee, which serves as a venue for summer parties and weddings during the warmer months.

The new menus, curated by Searcys’ executive chef Richard Oxley, highlight a selection of esteemed suppliers, including London Smoke and Cure, Notes Coffee, and Greyfriars Vineyard.

Searcys’ Head of Champagne and Wine, alongside the executive chefs, will host English sparkling wine and cocktail evenings at Gray’s Inn.

Paul Jackson, managing director at Searcys, said: “We are proud to partner with Gray’s Inn and are excited to introduce Searcys hospitality to Chancery Lane. We look forward to welcoming you in the New Year.”

The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.

Founded in 1847, Searcys is regarded as the UK’s oldest British caterer. It operates nine Champagne bars and restaurants and collaborates with renowned London venues, including 30 Euston Square, the Barbican, and the National Army Museum.
