Confectionery giant Ferrero UK & Ireland has named Craig Barker as its new regional managing director.
Barker steps into the role following his leadership of Ferrero’s Asia Pacific operations. He brings with him over three decades of experience in the confectionery sector, most of which has been spent within the Ferrero group.
Over the past 20 years, Barker has held a number of senior positions across various regions, including managing director roles overseeing Ferrero’s operations in Asia Pacific, Australia and New Zealand, and North Asia.
Barker said: “I started my journey with Ferrero as a sales director in the UK 20 years ago, and am pleased to be returning to the region at such a dynamic time.
“Ferrero UK and Ireland continues to grow with strong brands, product innovation and expansion into new categories. I look forward to working alongside the talented team to continue to bring joy to our customers with our iconic brands.”
Barker will succeed Philippe Steyaert, who has transitioned to the role of chief business officer at Ferrero’s central headquarters in Luxembourg.
Speaking of his departure, Steyaert said: “I am very proud of what we have achieved together, and I am confident that under Craig’s leadership, Ferrero UK and Ireland will continue to thrive and grow. I look forward to seeing his and the team’s success.”
