A fresh food and drink concept is coming to Chapel Allerton, Leeds this spring, brought to life by the team behind the York-based craft brewery Brew York. The new venue, named Brew+Bao, is a collaborative venture between Brew York and YUZU Street Food.
Known for its popular Asian fusion dishes, YUZU has been delighting Brew York customers at the brewery’s York locations since 2019. Now, the duo are set to bring their bold flavours and vibrant atmosphere to Leeds with the launch of their first joint venture under Brew York’s new ‘Brew+’ brand.
Brew+Bao will feature over 16 fresh beers on tap, including a curated mix of craft brews—some rotating, others permanent—alongside a selection of Brew York’s beloved favourites. The food menu, crafted by the team behind YUZU Street Food, is designed to pair perfectly with the beers on offer. Guests can look forward to an extensive bao bun selection, loaded fries, and a variety of sides—most of which will be exclusive to the Chapel Allerton location.
The venue will offer seating for 100 guests indoors, plus space for 80 more on a heated outdoor terrace—ideal for laid-back al fresco drinks and dining, whatever the weather.
Taking over the former Black Sheep Brewery site on Stainbeck Road, right in the heart of Chapel Allerton, the 1,700 sq ft restaurant embraces a modern, urban aesthetic—designed as a vibrant social hub where great food, drink, and atmosphere come together.

It’s the ideal place for our new Brew+Bao concept and we can’t wait to be part of the local community there.”

The fit-out of the new Brew+Bao venue is currently underway, with completion expected in early spring.
