JD Wetherspoon to open new Haven holiday park pubs

JD Wetherspoon is set to open four new pubs at Haven holiday parks following a £6.7 million investment.

The 830-strong pub group entered an exclusive partnership with the holiday park operator in January last year, leading to the launch of the Five Stones pub at Primrose Valley, Haven’s largest park in Yorkshire, in March.

As part of the extended agreement, Wetherspoon will open pubs in four Haven parks this year. These include the Red Rocks at Devon Cliffs in Devon, the Humber Stone at Cleethorpes Beach in Lincolnshire, the London Stone on the Kent Coast, and the Sir Thomas at Haggerston Castle in Northumberland.

Speaking at the Casual Dining Show last year, Wetherspoon founder Sir Tim Martin suggested that 1,000 pubs might be the brand's limit.

Haven was acquired in 2021 by private investment banking company Blackstone, alongside Butlin’s and Warner Leisure Hotels.
