Lidl issues recall over Salmonella contamination concern

Lidl GB recalls multiple batches of popular snacking product due to Salmonella contamination.

Sol & Mar Chicharricos BBQ Pork Scratchings (100g) recalled due to Salmonella contamination, posing risk of fever, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps.

Packs with date codes from 05 August 2025 to 12 August 2025 should not be consumed as they could be contaminated.

Lidl GB will place point-of-sale notices in all stores carrying the product to explain the reason for the recall.

The notice reads 'If you have bought the above product, we advise you do not eat it,'

'Customers are asked to return this product to the nearest store where a full
refund will be given. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for
your cooperation.'

Meanwhile, 3D Trading is recalling 150g packs of 'Ruffles Sabor a Jamón Crisps' due to missing English allergen information on the label.

The product contains milk and soya, but this is not stated in English, posing a potential health risk to those with a milk allergy, milk intolerance, or a soya allergy.

As a result, Northern Ireland-based 3D Trading is recalling all date-coded packs of the product.

Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores selling the crisps and customers with a milk or soya allergy or intolerance are advised to return the product for a full refund.
