Debjit Dass appointed group Executive Head Chef at The Zetter Hotels


Debjit Dass has been appointed Group Executive Head Chef at The Zetter Hotels, as the boutique hotel collection prepares to launch its third property.

Dass, who has built an impressive culinary career across the UK and Dubai, joins The Zetter team ahead of the highly anticipated launch of Zetter Bloomsbury, set to open in October this year.

With experience in several pre-opening teams, Dass is known for creating dishes that showcase bold, vibrant flavours.

Dass said: “With the Zetter Bloomsbury on the horizon, I look forward to leading a talented team and crafting menus that celebrate creativity, seasonality, and an elevated approach to modern hospitality.”

Liutauras Vaitkevicius, managing director at the Zetter hotels, added: “Not only does Debjit bring a wealth of experience, he also brings a culture of elevated quality and focus to his craft. We cannot wait to see him strengthening our food offering as well as creating new and exciting menus to match our ethos.”

Mark Sainsbury and Michael Benyan, who co-founded The Zetter Group in 2004, sold the company to global hospitality investor Orca Holding for an undisclosed sum in March 2021.

The Zetter Group currently operates The Zetter Marylebone and The Zetter Clerkenwell, with Zetter Bloomsbury marking the collection’s first new opening in a decade.
