Three Cheers Pub Co is set to open the first new public house on London’s King’s Road in over a century.
The team has secured the lease for a former bank at 224-226 King’s Road, which they plan to redevelop with a £2.4m investment.
The pub is set to open this autumn under the name The Trafalgar Public House, inspired by a former venue of the same name located at 200 King’s Road.
It will be the tenth London pub in the Three Cheers Pub Co portfolio, which includes the Bedford in Balham, the Bolingbroke in Battersea and the Abbeville in Clapham.
The two-storey, 4,735 sq ft site was originally designed by architect Reginald Blomfield in 1901. Its development is part of the Gaumont project, an initiative by landlord Cadogan to celebrate Chelsea’s cultural heritage.
Three Cheers Pub co-owner Tom Peake said: “We are delighted to be taking on this historic site and creating a wonderful new public house, a home from home for Chelsea locals and visitors alike.
“We are proud to be a part of this exciting development and look forward to bringing a real sense of community and connection to the area that only a proper British pub can.”
Three Cheers Pub Co was founded in 2003 by childhood friends Tom Peake, Mark Reynolds, and Nick Fox.
